Susan Elizabeth Palmer

Susan Elizabeth Palmer, age 45, of Ira Twp., MI, passed peacefully into the arms of her heavenly Father on June 26, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Nashua, NH and formerly of Williamsville, NY and Macomb Twp., MI, Susan was known for her big heart, her love of nature, and for her rescuing creatures great and small, furry and human. She was the "go to" person if any injured or abandoned animal needed tending. She captured and neutered feral kittens. worked with Saving Grace Miniature Horse Rescue, Detroit Dog Rescue, and tended to her own menagerie at her farm where each and every critter, including all two dozen chickens, had a special name.

Susan will be missed and cherished forever by her daughter, Grace (Eric) Miller, her fiancé Raymond Joe Craig, her parents, Mark and Janet Palmer, sisters Jennifer (Jeffrey) Geraci, Jill (Michael) Hart, brothers Mark Andrew (Ashleigh Charles), Michael (Dylan Krull), nephews Lucas and Jackson Geraci, Colin Hart, her niece Chloe Hart, and her goddaughter Emilia. In addition, she leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family, as well as special and devoted friends and colleagues who enriched her life.

The family wants to thank her colleagues at Amrock, where she worked for 18 years, for their caring support, and the staff at Beaumont/Royal Oak for their professionalism compassion.

A Celebration Of Life gathering and brunch is planned Sunday, August 18, 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Blake's Backyard, 5600 VanDyke Ave., Almont, MI.
