Theodore Robert Schoensee, known affectionately as Ted, passed away on May 10, 2025, in Warren, Michigan, leaving behind a legacy of love, joy, and cherished memories. Born on April 9, 1981, in Detroit, Michigan, Ted brought warmth to all who crossed his path throughout his remarkable life.

Ted dedicated over twenty years of his career to Chilis, where he positively impacted countless lives through his unwavering commitment and genuine spirit. His work ethic and approachability made him a beloved figure among colleagues and patrons alike.

Ted's journey of love began on October 29, 2005, when he met his future wife, Jessica, while standing in line for the Mean Streak roller coaster at Cedar Point. Their love blossomed, culminating in their wedding on December 6, 2008. Together, they created a beautiful family filled with laughter, support, and unforgettable adventures.

An ardent roller coaster enthusiast, Ted embraced life with an adventurous spirit, eagerly riding any coaster he could find. His passion for exploration was evident from a young age, with fond memories of climbing the Half Dome at Yosemite National Park, playing soccer in Amsterdam, and participating in the Rose Bowl with his marching band. These experiences reflected his zest for life and a playful nature that endeared him to friends and family.

Ted is survived by his loving wife, Jessica, and their dear children, Aiden and Kloee. He leaves behind his parents, Henry and Katie Schoensee, and siblings, Ondre and Kelly Schoensee, and Kristi Schoensee. His in-laws, Dave and Anna Turnwald, Sue Turnwald, and Penni Freese, also cherish his memory. Ted was a proud uncle to his nephews, Luca and Liam Schoensee, and his niece and nephew, William Turnwald III and Gabrielle Turnwald.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Clayton and "Pete" Penzien, Carl and Phyllis Schoensee, Theodore and Nancy Turnwald, as well as his cousins, Timmy Woodworth and Shaun Penzien.

A memorial service to honor Ted's life will be held at Christ Lutheran Church of Sterling Heights, located at 12500 Canal Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48313, on May 24, 2025, beginning at 4:00 PM. The service will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together and celebrate the vibrant life of Ted Schoensee.

Ted's memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His spirit lives on through the countless lives he touched and the enduring love he fostered within his family.
