Therese Marie Anderson

Therese Marie Anderson, born on August 14, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away in Detroit, Michigan on August 3, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy that is marked by her vibrant spirit and deep love for family.

Therese dedicated much of her life to her career as a long-time trucking dispatcher, a role she embraced with enthusiasm, often describing it fondly as “telling men what to do.” Her professional journey was enriched by working alongside her aunt Carole, creating a bond that transcended their roles as family members.

Known for her signature blue eyeshadow, Therese was a person of distinct style and character. Her warm personality made family gatherings a cherished part of her life, showcasing her love for those around her. She had a particular fondness for family events, often accompanied by her favorite snacks—Cheetos and Reese's. Her adventurous spirit shone through her enthusiastic enjoyment of Harley Davidson motorcycle rides, which fed her passion for life's thrills.

Therese shared an enduring love with Wayne "Roach" Buero, whose companionship brought her joy and support. She was also the proud dog mom to her beloved pets, Sammy and Biskit, who filled her days with unconditional love. Beyond her engaging personal interests, including computer games and her favorite TV shows, "Criminal Minds" and "Law & Order," Therese was devoted to her family.

She is survived by her brother, Rick Anderson; her son, Eric Hreben; her daughter, Nicole Crank (Steve Atkinson); and her cherished grandchildren, Xavier, Damion, and Summer Therese who she called SumShine. Therese also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.

Preceding her in death were her mother, Marie Elliott, and her brother, James Anderson, both of whom hold a special place in her family's memories.
