Virginia M. Markle age 91 died Wednesday November 21, 2012 at Evangelical Nursing Home in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
Virginia was born June 3, 1921 in St. Clair Michigan, the daughter of the late Carle Pethke and the late Muriel (nee: Mumford) Pethke.
Virginia and her late husband both had hearts of gold and were very compassionate and generous. They both enjoyed their time together navigating and sailing the Great Lakes aboard one of their sailing vessels. All whom she touched will dearly miss Virginia.
Virginia was the beloved wife of the late Edward Markle. She was the wonderful mother of James (Barbara) Markle, and Anita (Anthony) Opalewski. Mrs. Markle was the cherished grandmother of Scott (Pam) Opalewski, Gregory (Susan) Opalewski, Cheryl (Christopher) Vaughn, and the great-grandmother of C.J., Lauren, Rachel, Olivia, and Natalie. Mrs. Markle is also survived by her sister Echite (Louis) Dana, and David (Zelda) Ciavola.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday December 12th, 2012 at St. Kieran Catholic Church, 53600 Mound Road in Shelby Township at 11am. The family will receive family and guest from 10:30am until the time of the Mass. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Rev. Fr. Thomas Johnson.
